A new benchmark for air disinfection

LEA® (Laminar Electrode Array) is a patented concept for active air disinfection that meets the highest standards for medical applications. LEA® is based on a unique microelectrode matrix capable of inactivating airborne pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria or molds. The generation of hazardous byproducts such as ozone or NOx is mitigated. LEA® can be deployed in any indoor space, setting new benchmarks air quality and infection prevention.

Developed on behalf of the European Commission

In 2020, within the framework of the EU Horizon2020 programme, the European Commission commissioned the development of LEA® for emergency deployment in medical facilities in the fight against SARS-CoV-2 and other pathogens. An international consortium of medical and biological experts was brought in to play a key role in the project’s development. Today, LEA® can be deployed in any industry as a highly efficient air disinfection measure.

Effective in a wide range of applications

Effective against viruses, bacteria and mold spores

Highly efficient

An inactivation rate of up to 99.99992%

No emissions that are damaging to health

Continuous operation with no emissions of ozone or NOx

Environmentally friendly

Chemical-free and no waste-buildup

Flexible application

Can be integrated in all kinds of different system architectures

Extremely quiet

Continuous operation at less than 35dBA

Available in any setting

LEA® Technology is known for its flexibility and scalability and was specifically designed for integration in air disinfection and air purification systems. It can function as a standalone system or be integrated as a disinfection component within a hybrid system alongside other pathogen-reduction technologies, such as HEPA Filters. LEA®’s unique microelectrode matrix can be installed easily in existing system architectures with no need for major design changes.

LEA® Technology

Our mission

Health is our most important asset. Aerogenic pathogens and fungal molds have a direct influence on health and on the risk of infection in any indoor space. Actively disinfecting the air in a room has been proven to reduce the number of airborne pathogens and thus the risk of infection. We have made it our mission to contribute to global public health through the introduction of LEA®. The product’s areas of potential application are virtually limitless.
